Absolutely love these! i know nothing about them except i have heard that Omani brides receive rings for every finger of their hands. At least some of these are from that bridal array. Here is a pic of some of them.
The set of 10 Omani rings for a woman are:
2 thumb rings (name marami), not in your picture
2 pointed rings like the one at the top right at your picture, they point towards the nail and are a symbol of the saying there is no God but God. Name: shawahid=wittnes
2 middle finger rings (name naisa) they can be round like the one in your photo top left.
2 rings for the ringfinger with a square (name khateem murabba=square)
2 for the little fingers (name hays) often with mulberry design.
Your ring with a bigger stone might be a mans little figure ring (name abufuss)And the one with the dome can be a sear ring.
Thanks everyone! I especially love the red enameled one with the 5-point star, but too tiny to wear. I have suspended them from a silver chain to wear. And I have fairly small hands! Seriously, the 2 front rings are only 1/2" diameter. Harald, are these children's rings?
No, woman rings. Have a look at the anklets and bracelets from Oman those are very small too.
There have been discussions on this site about sizes because some people do not believe woman can wear these. Our daughter is the living evidence she can wear all the different types from Oman.
The small red one, you like best, is also for the little finger.

Pink rings are known in Ethiopia so I take it also for that region, especially as I recognize some of the shapes, like the breast p.e. the stone setting etc. the large round one and the square shape. Children do mostly have a piece of jewelry if it has to purpose to protect them, mostly around the neck.
