Lovely, Toya. Beautiful light hirz and filigree terminals which are splendid in combination with the amber.
A very fine example - Love it!!! Congratulations.
Especially love the filigree work on this one. Looks very delicate and feminine.
Lovely necklace toya, congrats. A special and old feligree work. Soldered with watter and silver powder, authentic work
Thank you everyone for the nice comments. Ait, I would like to know more about the soldering process you mention. Can you explain how the silver powder is used?
The feligree smiths, make of silver a thinn powder sometime thex mix borax to it. They let it fell on feligree pieces put together and sweeped with a wett cloth or brush
They heat it carefuly and the silver poder melts and keeps the feligree together.it has also another abvatage, you cant see the soldering later and gets homogen
Ait- thank you for explaining the soldering process. I want to understand more about Yemeni work because it is not something I have collected much. It was the fine filigree that led me to purchase this one.
Very beautiful! :-)
