  • Another stunning jewel for your museum.  This reminds me of photographs I have seen of Jewish women from the countryside of Yemen (not Sanaa) wearing elaborate jewelry with two keys hanging down, one on either side of the shoulders.  I imagine this was worn in much the same way.  Congratulations!!

  • Thank you Lynn. Below you can find a little sister of the above necklace... With kind regards. Peter

  • Very interesting necklace. I am surprised that it is rare. A valuable item congratulations Peter

  • What a wonderful necklace! I love the barrel beads. What are the red beads made of?

And it's little sister is fantastic - so modern looking and very wearable.

  • Dear Charlotte; Many thanks for your message. These beds are made of glass. I love especially those on the necklace above. They are truly exceptional. With kind regards. Peter
  • a stunning piece Peter

the gilded beads are special but the ruby glas  beads are unique. rare to see them on omani jewelry

the yemen ones are more red orange and represent the coral

the keys added a nice charme to the jewel

  • Thank you Peter - I wondered if they were glass or coral! They compliment the gilded beads perfectly.
