You are probably at least partly right about the picture, ayis. But I must admit, too, that I did not comment because I don't personally "warm" to this, even though objectively I admire it.
Not sure if I have a better one unfortunately. This is one of the few early necklaces I have had and it's a real museum piece in that you don't get alot of silver work that is archaicly similar enough to later Ching pieces. This is like the original version of many later pieces.. I had a good photo done of it and it's on a disk, this is a copy out of the publication and or some how a scan I did before the real photo ... The photos were good but the publication and seperations were done in a hurry so they all look kind of gray in the catalogue. this was ancient so the patina is what it is, and of coarse polishing it is a no no with this stuff. You will remove the mineral deposits on it.
