How very different this necklace is from the other you have posted! Amazing workmanship on the decorated beads. I wonder if this is more for city wear or country?

Dear Charlotte, this is more worn in rural regions. The fancy people in Sana'a would wear very fine filigree necklaces, such as the Birds Necklace. Besides Sana'a, there are not really big cities in Yemen, apart maybe from Aden in the south. The others are towns and there they would wear such a necklace. With kind regards. Peter
