  thank you edith for the photos. this kind of stores are my favorites. i spend a hours there and there is always nice jewelery to find for good price, and the owners are almost all nice

  chantal. hier the photo of semilar store. there is everything there and the owner is sometimes hours away, the door open  and only a chair and wood piece to block the entrance. but,  i love this store

  this store has three tevels and 3 another stores 1 meter and 2 meters from this one. i spend 1 day and the half of the night ther. i actualy sleep there. the owner is my friend with the wolf and the cat was the neighbour

  Is it Tunis ? or another medina? Great photos, keep them for your future articles, they are very atmospheric! But where are the cat and the wolf?

  For anyone wanting Tunisian jewelry and Rihanna chain (and not spending their life in the old medina like Edith!) I have spotted something nice on ebay (cant afford anymore this month unfortunately otherwise I would have gone for it!). no 220 976 247 826.  Ebay .uk. I think that the price is reasonable.

  Chantal: in answer to your question this is the older Mr. Mnouchi (relatively speaking)...I am guessing that he is in his mid to late 50s since the son appears to be late 20s/early 30s...he seems to be remarkably well-preserved.  Perhaps it is because of some magical force inhabiting his shop?  Perhaps it is a friendly Djinn!
