  • Beautiful. Do you have more information on the necklace in the middle? Is it perhaps contemporary?
  • the necklace from thecenter is an old long low hanging style that is still being crafted and worn but mainly in gold...you can see white skinned well to do moorish ladies wearing it in weddings for example.

    this one is an old specimen still in original stringing showing advanced wear and patina on the gilded elements...they are most probably mixed metals....
  • one can see that the main pendant on that necklace is a stylized double headed bird...possibly borrowed from northern morocco at the time where there was marriage links between moroccan kings and moorish tribes' chiefs
