  • Love, love, love this-the beads, the leather, everything. Great find!

  • I found it particularly yummy too.  It's sometimes difficult being a dealer and a collector.  One gets torn between keeping and selling.  This one is on the maybe-keep list.  The beads are really fantastic and early.  The synthetic amber was added at a later date I think.  I like how the front kitab teases one by showing just the edges of the kitab underneath while hiding the complex, tooled designs behind it.

  • A masterpiece...........Me, I would keep it (but then I keep everything!).

  • I would probably keep everything if we did not need the money to continue buying splendid lovelies!  Abdu is in Morocco right now and we were on Skype earlier.  He was showing me the goodies he got- lots of new and a little bit of old- which he says there is not much of anymore, not of any decent quality anyway.  He said that the dealers lock away the semi-good stuff and only take it out if they know you!

  • A reason to keep? ..Look forward to see his finds........

  • Hillary.  it is like this now everywhere in northafrica. there is less good pieces and the dealers keep them for their own costumers who were buying and supporting them since longer. it looks like it goes direction Turkey in few years. no one old piece goes out

  • the china dealers buy now all the old amber, amazonite and coral. they pay huge prices. it makes also the price explose
