  Well, nothing ventured etc.

  To me it the bound circular piece looks like the sort of Indian piece which is often described as a bracelet. Some times they are edge-wrapped with beads or some sort of decoration. However they have always seemed to me more like a padded ring for use for carrying items on the head.

  I have never seen one with added textiles as here though I can imagine these embroidered shisha work and cowrie shell cloth sections might hang down the back of braids for decoration and protection. I don`t know which area they come from but fancy it could be Rajasthan.

  Sheer guesswork and, sorry, probably not at all accurate. xx

  Hmmm - on reflection I`ve often thought the smaller mirrorwork to be more Afghan.

  This resembles work of tribes Banjara or Kuchi  from Rajasthan.
