Late-Ottoman belt buckles. Central Anatolia / Turkey.

Rather small woman’s ‘toka’ (belt buckles). Probably from Central Anatolia, late-Ottoman, ca. 1900. Silver alloy, with an embossed ‘Turkish Rococo’-decor. Purchased in Istanbul, 1996. (Inv.n° müç019-Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
