Your collection is gorgeous and I am incredibly impressed that you restore silver and leather yourself. I hope you write more about your pieces and your experiences.
I enthusiastically second Lynn`s comment.
John, I`m intrigued to know whether you travel to discover your finds or obtain them on the open market.
That sounds a lovely way to be involved with ethnic items, John. I`m quite a fan of eBay myself.
You may well be able to trade your women`s belts on this site. Anyway, no harm in trying and I wish you success with the venture.
Sounds good. Sadly, there`s nothing like conflict for bringing ethnic items onto the market. There`s been some excellent amber coming out of Ukraine recently. (By the way, I`m Frankie - female!!).
I am making belts now for two museums one in Austria and the other for military museum in Moscow. I will post an item soon in which I have no clue what it is and hope someone can tell me what is.
No problem. Will look forward to seeing the item. I do so love a mystery!
