  • What a lovely piece; Ait!

It also illustrates well the difference between the Kabyle and Ethiopian silver beads, showing the facets in the surface of the former. When worn smooth, they look exactly like their Ethiopian cousins, though...Thanks for showing!

  • thank you Betty. the beauty is in the simplicity and also the age patina.

as i wrote before, they are the same because they are simply made. i saw semilar ones in many cultures. specialy the omany ones are almost the same.

some kabyl ones have a round atamp on , as you can see here.

  • Ait, is this an original stringing or was the pendent added at a later date?

  • hello Patti.

i bought it myself , original stringing. i chnaged only the weire and added the round corals because i saw semilar ones.

i bought this necklaces years ago in Ghardaia and not in beni yenni even if it is a beni yenni piece.

this piece is in the same category and time as the one posted from preethi and bought in burkinafaso. the story why they were in ghardaia, i wrote it on preethis necklace comment.

the necklaces was intersting for me because of the unusual pendant
