One of my largest good silver cresent (point to point 24 cm.) about 1900. These are worn in Harar/Ethiopia and country side around Harar , Somalia and Yemen. This one made and collected in Ethiopia. Rare.

  • Gorgeous!   Almost too beautiful and too precious to wear........!   One would need a guard to keep an eye on it ! (in case of loss or theft)

  • Hallo Eva, Thank you. They did wear them on festive occasions,such as weddings mostly and on some women parties. ( with dancing in lines, can you imagine the bells clicking? and they just sing and a couple of ladies would slam two hard wooden blocks together. the rest would clap their hands and sing while dancing.  i was invited sometimes to such a to do, with lovely food!} Gr.
