Dear Ingrid; They are BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations. Peter
Thank you again Peter this is just a group of my collection. These were shown for Betty 's benifit who hadn.t seen any old crosses in the boxed style. But I so pleased it other members can enjoy them.
Gr. again Ingrid.
Thank you so much, Ingrid! Wonderful! Seeing them know I realize that I have seen the Gurage version before, but not the Shoan boxed cross. It's gorgeous. Quiet different from the modern version.
Very welcome Betty, it is good if collectors get to see the difference, as there has been so many new ones going around claiming to be old ones. Of course the softened feel is never to be forgotten..
gr. Ingrid.
Very nice and interesting to see! Thanks for showing. I do have two (flat) crosses with this design, and I was told they are "Gurage" crosses. So These are called Solomonic crosses? I am trying to not get mixed up.. it is past midnight, I have to copy this info tomorrow, to have it at Hand for reference, too tired now.
