Hungarian belt

Made of textiles and base metals, including brass (see back of photo) and e.g. pewter in the decorative sections (no silver was used anywhere). It is an early piece, and very satisfying. Here on ethnic jewels howah has a an excellent piece that differs but also shares typical characteristics, as does the belt on Trocadero to which he refers.

    Hi Linda and howah, - I have just posted a photo of the buckle side, and am about to put up another one which gives a side view.

    I have now added a third photo, showing both the rosettes and the buckle. Hope that the three together will provide a reasonable indication. If the two recently posted photos are at all hard to find, please go to my photos: all three images are reasonably close together.
