  • Dear Betty; This is looking great. When visiting Jerusalem for the first time several years ago, I have been offered a Chilean piece. It was magnificent, however, the dealer wanted way too much for it and therefore, I did not purchase it. Nevertheless, the encounter with the Armenian shop owner there was extremely pleasant and definitely among my best travel experiences. Well, one does not always need a photo to remember things, such encounters are much more significant... With kind regards. Peter

  • Thank you, Peter.

I definitely agree with you: there are moments you will cherish forever even though you take away no souvenirs except for your memories.

This piece was actually a very lucky find and I would actually appreciate any hint as to what might be its market value. It is difficult to find Mapuche jewellery and the prices seem to vary quite a bit. Unfortunately I am no expert in this field and cannot tell how old this piece might be. It's good silver and rather heavy though. What I like most is the dangles at the bottom...
