Hmong torque with spirit lock, silver, ca early to mid 20th century, connecting chain new.

Hi Cecilia. This is very nice. I like the way the chain has been renewed. I always wonder how this is worn. I suspect the spirit lock hangs down at the back .. presumably of a small child.

Thank you Thelma. This one is for an adult and can be worn front or back, but the torque rests better on my sholders when worn with pendant in front. Se also photgraph from Ethnic jewellery in the Rene van der Star collection p. 190
