  • Merci, Lanajnaj....I have only seen this type of head ornament a couple of times in the shops.  Usually they are damaged and broken into pieces when I see them.  The photographer who took the photo below labeled the bride as being from Sfax, but Samira Setholm also has a photo of a pair of these in her book,  The pair in Setholm's book are from Djerba, and they have square plaques instead of these round medallions.
