  • Yes, lovely - and you are showing the details well, in several images.
  • I don't agree with Ayis on this one - certainly not if I am to judge from the photos. It all seems perfectly homogeneous to me, and the wear on the top seems simply due to age, with resulting patina.
  • Actually, on THIS photo, we can see that the clasp, too, is considerably worn - quite consistently so if related to the top of the piece, where the patina is "richer" through frequent handling. I really see no problem with this piece. There is no sign of any inconsistency, with everything  flowing quite smoothly into each other. And the piece is very well handled. It is PRACTTICE we have to look at, i.e. the actual piece, and that looks extremely convincing to me.
