  If you click on view full size and use the enlarge tool, it blows the beads up very large. the dimensions of each bead are from 1/8 inch to 3/4th inch each.

  I DON"T know, LInda, but to me they have a vaguely Naga feel to them. Or otherwise from a more "primitive" culture, I would have thought, than Turkey, even though they were bought there. I shall await Stefany's view with interest!

  i would like to see inside the holes- is the glass itself a transparent yellow or colourless?

  are all the holes of different widths or the same?

  They are glass that is hand blown and ancient looking like what one sees on Roman glass I have handled. I know they are not Naga. They have been strung like this and are not in original format. I'm curious about beads not particularly necklace stringing which is as is a a use of what are a bead product.

  I mentioned Naga only as an example, Linda, because of the shape. But they are obviously more luxurious than anything produced there. Yet they don't look particularly urban to me - rather a puzzle. Perhaps they ARE ancient??
