  • What a beautiful design !
  • Stunning!
  • lovely!

  • Very recently made, but it's appealing.
  • Nice!
  • the older pieces of this kabyle necklaces are really hard to come by, still very good workmanship for this newly made necklace
  • Yes, Ayis - it is quite a good piece. Personally I'd rather save up more money and buy an older version any time, also because the money is ultimately better spent that way. But for what it is, this is quite acceptable and attractive.
  • absolutely Joost....but we can definetely pay a tribute to the kabyle silversmiths who were able to preserve in big part their smithing traditions
  • Actually, Ayis, what in a way I find most striking is the DIFFERENCE between this piece and one made many decades ago. And that difference also makes plain how hard it obviously is to get a truly early piece "right", for if that had been easy far more pieces would in recent times have been made to resemble the old ones! Even so for what it is this is nice - but it lacks the depth etc of older pieces and will never really come to match them in quality, even with age. Everything is sharper, more superficial, etc.
  • We've had a several older pieces varying a bit in style, but all older with rich patina and appropriate wear patterns.  We've sold them all and will sell this one too.  Often times I'll wear one for a while and then decide it's time to sell.  We've had the poor grade pieces that mimic this with plastic and red glass cabochons, thin silver, no real detail in the work.  This is perhaps the nicest newer piece I've seen in a long time.  The coral cabochons are well shaped, silverwork precise and detailed, and enamel work neatly done.  It weighs over 210 grams.  All in all, it is a good piece for its age, lovingly crafted and put together.
