Thank you, Mustafa. It was mainly the beads that caught my attention. But the filigree is also nicely done. It was obviously created with great care in spite of the non-precious materials used. BTW: the bells have a really lovely tinkling sound...
Thanks, Rabah and Peter. Unfortunately I do not know more about it. It was sold as "Iraqi" together with a lot of other jewellery which I wasn't able to acquire. I bought it mainly because of the curious beads, which look like home-made plastic of some kind that has then been cut by hand to like gemstones (as Mustafa correctly observed). Does your Palestinan necklace have similar beads, Peter? Or have you ever seen the like before?
