Oh yes. I like these. They look like miniature prayer mats. I wonder if that was the intention.
Look quite old (at least the fibs are quite worn). Delicious. Where did you get them from?
Thanks a lot both, Thelma and Chantal. I found them in Marrakech this summer. I had never looked at them like that (prayer mats) but, Thelma, you are probably right as the motif in the plaques and in the prayer mats is probably a sort of mihrab.
This shape of pendant is called a Louha, it is a representaion of the board upon which Koranic lessons were written .
The Fibulae are Ait Atta pieces from the Draa valley.
