  Most of them are heavely demaged so did not get the heart!! The eyes I did not see!!

  Thanks for the offering, Carry but I do not collect them.But I know about the different types so that's why I asked. I think there is a site that has them ( when you still want some I can try to find it. But they are a bit expensive I think.

  Thanks I can find them here too, I just never looked really seriously, and i only recently decided to collect them, not to regret later on!! And the gram is 10 LE and they are really light!!

  So these are Egyptian?  Almost identical pieces can be found in Mexico and meso-America, and even in Italy I think!

  I'v seen them in Spain and Portugal.They call them ex-voto .

  The ex-voto was offered to a church or a sanctuary as a token to a Saint or Maria for a "grace received". For example; health recovered.
