  • Today with the cool weather, I felt creative, attached a piece of black leather string and am wearing it. I think the material is very low, probably Aluminium! but it Looks nice on my wrist.... together with some additional bracelets made of Stone beads.

  • Wonderful picture...suggests the creeping coldness of the weather.

  • This is quite an unusual piece. It looks to me as the charmes which are to represent breasts. Often there is an extra nipple on top.  As the twisted cicles look nicely done I do think it to be silver perhaps of an lower alloy which is quite common from the province Wollo of Ethiopia. These charmes are mostly worn on the forehead,  on three strings of small glass beads or on a woven band. Do they have three loops at the back of the each charme?

  • @Thank you for your comment and the interesting Information. There is only one Loop on the back. I posted a Picture of the back: this is the link for the Picture of the backside. As said, the seller had no Information about this Piece at all.

  • Congrats. Eva  do not forget they are charmes. So.......

  • I found the invoice, that I usually file if possible. It says nothing about the material, but says, it is from the Welo (Wollo) province. So you are right.  The bracelet had been sleeping in a box since some months (I bought it about 6 months ago).

have a strange Story.... about this. I was wearing it today the first time really, with a piece of wool to make it a bit bigger. I was walking downtown doing shopping, then I sat in the tram to go back home, I noticed that it was no longer on my wrist. I checked on the floor of the tram, the seat, everywhere, it was gone. I was very disappointed,  went home. When i took my jacket off, something fell off the sleeve. It was the bracelet. It had opened but stayed in the sleeve. Lucky me! I adjusted meanwhile the additional thread so it cannot open again by itself. Nice that it fell off but wanted to stay with me.........!

  • @Ingrid, thanks. It might have not much material value, but I like it a lot. And I have not seen a similar one on Ebay yet. Most of my items are from Ebay, but from different sellers. But I have one source from whom I buy directly.

  • 2505997657?profile=originalthis is how it Looks after I have cleaned and polished it today.

  • looking good. May I know how you cleaned it?

  • don't Forget it is very low silver, if any at all........... I cleaned it with a silver cleaning paste (using a small old toothbrush, rinsing it again and brushing it again with the paste, a few times and then polishing it with a cloth). I bought today also a silver cleaning bath liquid and am trying to clean that very very old hairpin with that one (not this bracelet). But that pin is a Special "difficult" case...
