  • Wow, I love these!

  • The sperada “sunburst” hair arrangement was used till about the beginning of the 20th century. Now it survives to be worn in folklore ceremonies. A part of the sperada was given to the girl by the fiancé to his betrothed. Other pins are given on the marriage day, and special occasions as the birth of a child. The weight of this item is about 600 gram of silver.

A complete antique sperada is very rare to find on the market.

  • wunderfull

  • Love them!!!!!

  • It is really nice to see these pictures (how they are worn) and not only the items alone. It helps a lot to understand these hairpins and how they were used. They look really stunning. Thanks also for the text explanation.
