Front of an embroidered women’s ‘cepken’ (long-sleeved vest) from Balıkesir (central district). Part of a festive costume, early 20th century. Golden metal thread on silk velvet; embroidery technique: ‘kordon tutturma’ (applied cord). (Inv.n° cep029 - Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
