@Preethi : thanks a lot. and what I like very much: I can wear them ! (I dare not to open the Ends to put them through the ear like that - after some time it might break, but I put them on tiny earrings as Pendants).

Eva, I am not quite sure is these are Tigrean earrings. I have a suspicion that they are more from the interior of Eritrea from the Beja women
@Ingrid, I do not know. I looked at the invoice description, they were sold by an Ethiopian shop with main seat in Addis Ababa and a seat in London, as Tigrean earrings. Possible that they are Eritrean, I simply cannot answer this. I googled Beja women, they seem to be a nomadic People living mainly in Sudan, Egypt and Eritrea (border towards Sudan). Some Beja women wear big noserings. Could these earrings possibly be two nose rings (hence not matching) ? Interesing.........!
Now that you say that they are not a matching set it could also be the one I have seen Tigrai and Eritrean women wear with the typical large earrings and one flat earring, could be one of yours on the upper part of the ear. But just on one ear.
@Ingrid, thanks for this Information, about one earring on the upper part of the ear. I can imagine this. Perhaps I can find a photo like this........ I will try on the Internet. If not, it is also ok.

I would have never thought of it, but Ingrid is right: I also remember seeing similar earrings worn on the upper part of the ear (and yes that style is very popular among the Beja /Beni Amer. Will see if I can find a pic...
