  • congratulation Marie ange. wunderfull piece you bought. really beautiful and special

  • Thanks I am very happy about it!!

  • A beauty! A lucky find I think!

  • The decorative outside reminds me of thistles.

  • @Hillary what is thistles??  decoration is lovely on this bangle fell in love imediately.

  • Thistles are relatives of the artichoke.  I believe that the thistle is one of the symbols of Scotland, it is a flower with thorny/ spiky leaves and top that opens up to a pinky- purple flower.  I doubt that these are supposed to represent thistles, but they do remind me of them.

  • Thanks Hillary, think the Dutch word is distels but you are right these look like flowers.

  • Hi Maria Ange it is from Ratjastan I bought one myself year ago in Bikaner Ratjastan!!!

It is delicate and nice to see it is complete!!! I have one in my album but is a little damaged!!

And i must say I went twice to Ratjastan but only ever saw only the one I bought!!

  • a beautiful piece! And very interesting to read the comments! The flowers (Distel in my language), and where it comes from. Very lovely.

  • I have heard these flatter Rajasthani bracelets referred to as guard bracelets -- in that two of them go on either side of another, wider bracelet/ Don't know if this is true, just throwing out some hearsay.
