Simply lovely Marie-Ange! This is Turkoman, maybe Yomud? Patti or Anna could tell you much more I think! Where did you find it? You're welcome to stay with us if you ever decide to come to Tucson. We show for 9 days and treasure hunt inbetween, before and after!

Thank you, I'm sure we will. It's always fun when all of the dealers from worldwide come to our doorstep! There is an entire area devoted to Africa and certain shows have lots of ethnic jewelry from all over. SO much fun! I've been working at the show since I was 15.
Here in Holland we have 1 "big" show in Amsterdam every year, love to go there but it is just a very small show compared to yours. Must be overwelming when there are so many interested people come together, is Linda also there? she told me people from these shows are like family to her. I guess you meet alot of people that go to similar shows every year and they become friends.
It's Yomud I think, I'v seen it on our local Market, I hesitate about buying! I like it. It was a pitty I could not see the reverse, is it a box or a plate?

Linda doesn't do the Tucson show, but it turns out that we know many of the same people. I've known many of the dealers in ethnic items since I was a teenager!
I have a similar one in my collection. The stones are all turquoise, but in the first book I checked just now, there is one almost identical to the one you are showing, Marie-Ange. It is annotated as being from Western Yomud, first third of 20th century. Patti is much more checked out on sourcing these Turkoman pieces than I however, so i would wait for her word on it.
