Congratulations on your find, Marie-Ange. I have been drooling over a little cheap one from Ethiopia. I need Ethiopian jewelry like I need a hole in the head, but since Ethiopia and Yemen have been so closely related since Biblical times, I really like to see pieces that resemble Ethiopian jewelry, even if they were not made there. Perhaps the Ethiopians buy them from parts of Northwest Africa???

Could be.... or Egypt? Lots of symbols there, moon,star, leaves............could the top middle little creature be a representation of Tanit? or am I maybe completely going astray? We need more opinions......lovely mystery piece............
This has more of a Levantine or Turkish feel to me. It's a great piece, Marie-Ange!
i will tip for jewish smith in tunisia. the khamssa is left hand and the star has 6 branches
Are they two fishes that I see under the star and moon design (with their head down)? I know that North Africa is full of fishes but Tunisia more than any other...............

Interesting item with a decorated back side, nice! Does not look Egyptian to me. Are the pendants not a "clou" (indication) to the origine? Being so different from most North African ones? The beads are for sure from Yemen and are made of glass in my opinion. See picture of Yemeni glass beads here by.
