INterestingly enough this pattern of two "animal" heads facing each other is common from the subcontinent to China and as Frankie said it exists also in the Himalayas!!

Frankie, I would be curious to see more information about such bracelets being found in Bhutan. I would imagine that Bhutanese bracelets would follow the Tibetan style with dragon-head finials and repoussee work and swirling patterns.

I`m not sure if dobchu just means bracelet or whether it`s specifically one of this type - with the facing animal heads.
I think on Huan`s bracelet the heads look like Daffy duck!
I have seen other open cuff-style bracelets referred to as dobchu; so could be that that's just a generic name?
Yes, Huan's does look like Daffy Duck :) It's probably from Himachal Pradesh....
