  This is quite gorgeous, I love the circular designs in the middle.  How do you tell machine stamped from hand engraved?

  Thanks for the interest.  It all comes by experience and by looking at so many of them to differentiate. But some of hints are:

  1. Machine pressed are much so perfect for the hand to make as in this bracelet.. too nice for a professional hand to make .

  2. Some of engravings will appear as positive ' elevated instead of depressed grooves' which indicates that they machine not hand.

  3. With experience we run across some designs that were made by machines at certain time in history among them is this design for this cuff and a few other designs which we can tell when we see them.

  The machine pressing has been applied at certain time only , but it was not as successful as hand engraved but for people wanted good looking piece that looks closer to perfect, having machine pressed also is not a bad idea. After all the design is old and traditional and the style is also old.

  Both are so beautiful!  Am I right that the top one is hand engraved, and the bottom one is machine pressed?
