  • Shoa cross with the jewelers artistic inclination playing with the eyes.

  • Lots of wear on this one Betty, Look at the deep glow of the bail. Pretty old. Observe the disappearance of the decorations on the bail also means good silver. Comes over as a very much loved piece, by the jeweler and the previous owner.

  • ....I must take a picture of the back which has a "face-like" engraving right below the bail.

  • what an interesting Piece!  Good we have Ingrid to help us with more Information on Ethiopian things.

    I quite like this one!

  • I quite agree, Eva...

  • Hi Betty, the backside is very nice too!  The front side makes me think of some modern painter, I do not know why. (Something between Hundertwasser and Klimt)....... (crazy!)

  • Thank you for your kind comments Eva.

You are right - you smith who made this piece must have been a very creative and slightly crazy soul which makes his work all the more appealing to me :-)

  • Most interesting and unusual!

Yes, Eva, please stay with us again. I know you are a sensitive soul ( we need more like you) but don't inflict your absence on us, please.

  • Well-said Frankie!

  • Dear Frankie and Betty, if I stay away, it is only because I do not have any new items to show. I spent a lot of Money on photographic Equipment (new camera, Stative, various size objectives, etc.) and I am often on trips to take photos of nature and animals. It is very Kind of you what you said, thank you very much. I will try to comment more. My last Addition was the Berber temple / hair adornment. But I do not buy much nowadays...not that it would not interest me, but I love photographing nature (animals primarily which is to me not merely photographing, but almost like painting, or one could say creating things). So my Budget is almost used up for my photography-Hobby.

Anyway, I will try to come more to the site, as I really love ethnic jewellery too. thank you so much, it really makes me happy. I
