CIMG0205Ethiopian silver parfum boxes.

Here two silver parfum boxes, the right one is with a type of drawer into an open box. The left one is for Ethiopia an unusual one. and it could very well be for a piece of cloth. Both of good silver and worn by the Amhara highlanders.

  • they both look lovely. Have to Google what is pompadouri, will find out........... (am curious)

  • Well perhaps I have used the wrong expression. I think I meant potporri, The flower petals we keep nowa-a-day in a pot in the WC or cupboards. But than in this case they used leaves of plants orso.

  • ok, ok, no Problem. Just nicely smelling leaves is good enough for me to know. Beautiful boxes!
