This hat is just gorgeous - same as mine, which I have posted some time ago. I love to see it worn with additional decoration. The side pieces, which I assume are some sort of crochet, look very similar to Libyan temple ornaments. I am going to purchase a set of those at the end of this month and will post them the next time, I am at my home... Regards. Peter

The side pieces are 'iğne oyası' (Turkish needle lace); these ones are in fact the edging of the headscarf, which (as you can see) are sometimes very large. This style of 'oya' is typical for the Izmir region. I'm looking forward to seeing the Lybian temple ornaments. Kind regards, JM.
