Never seen before (this type of bracelets and ring from Mali), but nice and interesting! Is it silver or a mix? I just asked my (Malian) husband, he was not sure, but thinks it is Peul (Fulani). Do you know if this is correct?

My first reaction to this is that it is contemporary but in a rendition of a traditional style. Normally this style of bracelet to my knowledge would never be silver and the older pieces are bronze or brass I have seen examples of similar designs in a more traditional body shape and drawing style.. I'm not 100% sure but my gut says so. ?

I second linda. old examples were made in bronze and do come from the dogons or the lobi in burkina.
