Dear Peter, I can understand that they are rare, considering all that skilled file grain work. Not all silver smith can do this type of work, very very time consuming high skill and a steady hand. (This knowledge I have from the Ethiopian silver smith. I love the contrasting center pendant as well. Great find. Gr. Ingrid.
A very elegant piece indeed... Congratulations, Peter!
I remember there was a discussion on Facebook a while ago concerning the various origins of these beauties. Maybe you have seen it?
Congratulations Peter! The filigree work on this necklace is so spectacular I could scarcely tell the difference between the Aleppo version and the Yemeni version.
