Absolutely splendid. A masterpiece.
And the silver weight of them.................
Wow!!
Looks like fibulae from the Rif and a Ait Atta chain/haeddress...........(But am no expert of course, maybe wrong.)
The fibs look like ones that are used on complete Rif sets but they also look Ait Hadidou to me and I don't think that those places are near each other , although, I have seen these before attributed to the Rif. Usually they are accompanied, however, by a totally different center piece. Much like Ayis's set here.
The bottom chain section looks like a combination of head ornaments, Kharab earring pieces, and kitab pendants.
Ayis, do you know if the name tasfift is used throughout Morocco for these?
S x
tasfift means belt in Amazigh
tisfifin is the plural of tasfift. is more pronociated tisfifin as tasfift because it is always more thinn pieces attached together.
tasfift, tisfifin. thin chaine/s with dangles,pendants... originary are made of wool or cotton
