These amulets were sewn on children's hats when they got their first teeth.

Beautiful and interesting pieces, Peter! Do you perhaps know what the animals are (salamander?) what their connection is with teething? Also interesting to see that at least one of the coins is Russian. Very nice find and fabulous addition to your collection. Kind regards, Betty
