  This I bought from a tayik carpet dealer, somebody gave it as part of a payment but he had no clue about the origin, I would say it is turkman, it is worn holding from the head sides and it has perfume container at the botton. ¿?¿?

  I have always heard these described as Muchley pendants from Pakistan, although the two countries are so close together that maybe the origin is insignificant. Are these made of silver? I know that they can be silver or base metal and many also have beads. FYI, for sure these are not Turkoman. Are they gilded?

  turkman are for me not even if there is some turkman touch. if not gold, they are silver gilded

  These pieces are, as Michael Backman indicates, found along the Afghan/Pakistani border. There are a good many of them around on the market at the moment, which can be found on several websites, and there have been several others during the last two years or so. From what I have observed, and I think Linda would confirm that, they are not quick to sell, though often very good and attractive, as people prefer to buy something they can more easily wear. However, the pieces are usually very nice - as are these - and no doubt someone will want to collect them. They are, indeed, very much collector's items. I find these more interesting and better than some I have seen, Berberia, and thank you for posting them. Once again, you are showing your sense of quality and your good taste!
