Interesting - I recently saw a somewhat similar belt being labelled "from Ethiopia" which struck me as unlikely. But of course one can also find imported Bedouin jewellery in the Horn of Africa...

You are right Betty, this is not exactly an Ethiopian details. p.e the pyramied formed decoration the connections of the plates and than the buckle the buckle's decoration. I do not know of silver belts being worn in any traditional wear. If found in Ethiopia it must be an imported piece occasion.
A good looking piece kept in a prestine conditon.
This is definitely Saudi from the Southwestern region. I have another Saudi belt with coins, also silver, but not in such a good condiiton. I will post a picture soon. Thank you for your comments :)
