  From Asir I think? Thanks for posting this bracelet. This type of jewelry we do not see often on this site! I do like it!

  How does it open? Or is it a slip-on bracelet?

  Hello Harald,

  Yes it is from the Asir, Najran area. It is not a slip on. On one end there is a metal tube, on the other tubes of leather and a leather tie or a pin is inserted for closure. Do you have any tips on how to keep leather so that it does not deteriorate?

  nada. if the leather is too dry,

  - boile watter and put the bracelet near it when it is boiling, you can do it 30 min. make sure that the bracelet is getting humidity and not the heat.

  you can also put hot watter in a large recipient and inside , anothe recipient without watte, pu a cloth in the second recipient . not in watter. put the bracelet on the recipient and cover all together.

  like this, the leather becomes himitdity .

  2- use skincream, take a simple one with less parfum and color.with your fingers,cream all the leather the same way you do it for your hands. take after it a dry colth and clean the surface of the leather.

  do 2 or 3 times the first week, after it, ones a year is enough

  I would use just some clear beeswax (without any other stuff put in it, over here it is called "antique-wax") , no skin creams because you never know all the ingredients they put in there. It can start getting mould or mildew on your leather. This I know by experience, after some years the mould started. Very bad for your health.

  Little bit of almond oil (not the sweet type for cooking!) could be tried on a small part of the inside but it can darken the leather.

  Leather becomes more flexible by steam (the same way as felt). I would not recommend it on leather that is very fragile.

  i actualy had the mould experince with the wax. even on olive wood, if you dont dry it after using it,m you will get after few days only the orange mould.

  some creams for leather with basic wax are good because the wax is mixed.

  any other oil makes the leather darker.

  the best is ofcourse sheabutter but we are talking about something to find everywhere and do it anytime
