Very beautiful!
You really got a good eye for old pieces, especially as you bought it without knowledge. Well done!!
Very beautiful, love the contrast of the tiny snail shells.
Thank you! I'm assuming its a Berber wedding necklace and that the orange beads are amber. Could the black beads be black coral?
those seashells are Pusiostoma-
i dont think that black coral is used much in N. africa, more likely nice old glass-
This is indeed a creation based on old style and using older elements.
The black beads are glass they locally called "BAIJBAIJ" and i am still searching for its western name and it is obviously an import trade bead from europe
You have a lot of nice old elements here, the orange beads should be coral, the golden brown ones amber. If they are real, there is a lot of value in this necklace.
Thank you all very much! I'll have to find someone here in Hawaii that can verify the stones.
Beautiful traditional necklace with coral and amber.
