My name is Tiala Brown and I was born in Bali , 4 years after my parents met and fell in love in 1968 in Delhi , India. My mom , a German film editor from Frankfurt and my dad, a Jewish survivor from Budapest  were an unlikely pair . But they fell madly in love and realized a shared passion for travel and the beauty of ethnic jewelry , textiles and furniture. After a decade living in the east, they settled in Montreal and opened their first store, the world renowned Woven Gardens. My earliest memories are of  lying on the rolled up killims in killimsmy parents store, or looking through every piece of jewelry in the jewelry cases, enchanted by their beauty, wishing they were all mine. 45 years later and not much has changed!

Over the course of 50 years and countless buying trips back east my parents built an exquisite collection of jewelry. My mom has a great eye and what you see is a reflection of that sophistication and  passion. These pieces are more than just jewelry , they are a reflection of a life well lived., full of travel, adventure and beauty .
