Bronze ‘toka’ (woman's belt buckle), featuring a lion's head. Probably Kurdish, from the Adiyaman region, ca. 1925. The lion's head is executed in late-Hellenistic style, reminding artifacts of the antique Kingdom of Commagene (163 BC - 72 AD). (Source: Akkaya Antik, Balikesir).
