Here is a superb and complete Tuareg necklace. It has been restrung, though this is the traditional beadwork that would have accompanied the original pendants. Now on offer on eBay.

  • Wow! Very unusual and beautiful  pendants!

  • beautiful!  (have seen it on Ebay, but no money at the moment....... too many invoices to pay...).

  • nice piece.

Waqar. well done, you have a sharp sense of observation.

unusual piece, i guess south niger where the touareg and sonray use to be neighbours. the sonray say about the touareg: how can they live in the desert ??  the sonray live on or arround the river Niger.

the touareg say about the sonray : how can they live in watter  ??

it looks like this piece is made from a smith that lives in the area or maybe a saison smith who moves to the river in winter and gets inspired from the area.

many smiths work in fields and plantage in the rain saison , or as herder. they take with them their little materiel and create some jewels in between. i know some of the m, their work is sensationel.

this piece could be one of thoes cases
