hello, this is a very special kitab, very very rare, its age is borne out by the work that has gone into it, it would be interesting to know what the makeup of the metals are within it, would you mind to PM me with the price if it is for sale? thanks a lot, regards, zhanna
An very interesting piece indeed; very "steampunk" if I may say so (no insult intended at all): I am no expert at all when it comes to Tuareg and related pieces, but it's interesting to see Mauritanian influences hear - or am I imaging this?
Thank you so much Zhanna, it came from a private French collection. The man said he purchased it himself in Timbuktu, he also said it was the only one like it that he had in his collection so was really please to have found it. best wishes, Ursula
hi Ursula, so the facts bear it out, it is indeed a very special piece, considerably rare, best wishes, zhanna
