Syrian or Palestinian Amulet Necklace

This is a Syrian or Palestinian (opinions welcome!!) amulet necklace. The main body of the amulet is a triangular box, which used to have a sliding lid (now lost.) The front of the amulet is open-work filigree with granulation on top. On the sides hang large half-moon shapes. The chain is Ottoman-style with small paisley dangles, and is silvered copper and broken in places. I will replace it when I get a suitably styled chain. This came with a collection of jewelry from both Palestine and Syria. There is writing on the back (see next photo.) Photo of the full necklace in the comments.

Gorgeous filigree, Lynn. Reminds me of some of the top range Ethiopian telsum, hair combs and and ear spoons Ingrid has shown us, but I guess it is another piece from the Levant?

Dear Lynn; This is a real cutie! The filigree is splendid. I would allocate it rather to Kurdistan (could still be Syrian Kurdistan). This is just my feeling as I have seen already quite a few necklaces from there, featuring the paisley dangles. With kind regards. Peter

This is beautiful Lynn. I have a necklace with an inverted triangle and similar dangles and I do believe it may be Iraqi/Syrian (see the chain) rather than Palestinian. Here is a photo of the pendant:
