  • The tulip-shaped bead with the turquoise accents is particularly lovely, is it Kirgyz or Kazakh perchance?

  • the turquoise-set shape was one of many items bought in London without a provenance, My guess of himalaya-burma-nepal etc. may be quite wrong.

i have researched a lot of information about antique and old beads other than really ancient ones over many years, but in the realm of metal items i'm learning just like all of us here! -thank you to Sarah- being a member of EJ has made me realise i do have a number of good pieces, metalwork etc. even though i dont know an awful lot about them. at least they have mostly been found on the markets here in London and generally at inexpensive prices.

  • I recently purchased 2 beads just like the one to the left of the amulet, advertised as being from Nepal.
